Aims
To set standards and guidelines for:
  • instructors of the Pilates Method
  • studios offering training in the Pilates Method, and
  • bodies/studios offering education in the Pilates Method

To set and maintain standards within the Pilates industry (as listed above) regardless of approach, so long as the approach meets standards and guidelines as set down by the Pilates Alliance.

The Pilates industry is at a necessarily progressive stage of development. As a technique valued for the ability to rehabilitate many conditions as well as being a highly valued form of holistic exercise, the possibilities for use and misuse of the pilates method are endless.

The Pilates Alliance is a body established by the pilates industry for independent regulatory control of quality and integrity within all approaches to the pilates method. An association that does not run it's own studio or educational course but as a non-bias and non-profit body, regulates instruction, studios and educational programs.

For information on the Pilates Alliance, and applications for membership please visit www.pilatesalliance.net

Pilates International is proud to be a part of this non-bias regulatory body for quality and integrity of the pilates method. Pilates International is also proud to be a Level 4 member of the international regulatory body, the Pilates Method Alliance Inc.
